Below, Justine answers our 11 questions on the NoTox Facial, GELIDA technology and why she believes the future of facial rejuvenation is increasingly non-invasive.
Q. What made you decide Gelida was the right partner for your clinic at this time?
We opened our clinic initially offering Cryotherapy Treatments as the healing benefits had been exceptional when my mother broke her shoulder and had a full shoulder replacement. She had purchased a device that assisted in the speedy recovery following her operation, which the hospital were astounded with the progress and mobility she had achieved in an extremely short period of time. Whilst the machine was exceptionally good it was restrictive due to it not being operated by electric and not aesthetically pleasing in a beauty salon.
Following extensive research of the market we spoke with Gelida, in particularly the CEO, Charles, who was passionate about the products, which was refreshing. There were no hard sell tactics or numerous follow up phone-calls to chase for a sale (like many other competitors) and Charles was always happily prepared to answer numerous questions.

Q. Were there specific factors that stood out compared to other brands?
Gelida devices are operated electrically, and have the ability to perform multiple treatments including facials, skin lifting and tightening, pain management and fat freezing. Of all the Cryo products on the market, the results shown were exceptional and far superior to other machines. Gelida was certainly the “standout product” of all others that we had extensively researched.
Q. Which aspects of the new Gelida Cryo device excite you the most?
The large head that can be used for effective body treatments’ with the benefits of red light and the small and medium heads that are so easy and effective to use.Â
Q. How do you see this technology fitting into your current treatment menu?
We have previously used cryo therapies in our clinic which were extremely popular, however the Gelida machine is most certainly an advancement in effectiveness and usability. The treatments are refreshing, cooling and relaxing whereas the previous machine was uncomfortably cold and not suitable for all client groups.
Q. Which treatments do you expect will be most popular with your clients, and why?
The “Crotox Facial” so far has seen an exceptional improvement in client’s skin, immediately, and creates glowing skin that is lifted and smooth after one 30 minute treatment. Gelida have also produced an array of creams to use for all treatments that are cost effective and with extensive benefits.
Q. How do you think offering Gelida treatments will strengthen your clinic’s position in the market?
We are extremely excited to be the very first clinic in Wales to offer the outstanding benefits of Gelida. The treatments will certainly create further benefits to add to our strength and excellent reputation in the market. We only use the “very best” machines in our clinic and we build our reputation on this ethos.
Q. In what ways do you believe it will add value to your clients’ experiences?
Our Gelida machine is in our opinion the “Rolls-Royce” product that stands out in the extensive cryo market.
Q. How does Gelida’s focus on natural, results-driven aesthetics align with your clinic’s philosophy?
We are a natural, holistic clinic and do not offer any injectables, instead we focus on natural proven technology to enhance our client treatments

Whilst working as a fashion stylist, Justine suddenly started to experience hot flushes, exhaustion, acne and felt that her skin had aged overnight. As she was in her late forties she realised that it could be the start of the peri-menopause. Her research into the possible effects it could have on her body and skin lead her to try and find a menopausal skin expert who could advise and treat all the conditions that she was experiencing. When she was unable to find anyone she decided to take matters into her own (healing) hands and begun to train as a holistic facialist. Her very unique approach – looking inwards to treat external problems and seeking out the root causes of skin conditions – sets her apart from all other facialists and makes her a truly unique practitioner.
